Free IT Management software!?!
16/01/2007 by Paul.
After looking at the AD script earlier someone has pointed out a Free IT management suite.
You can get it from here - http://www.spiceworks.com/
There are sponsored links within the app however if it does the job.
-Update-
The software looks very professional and collects some excellent information about my office network.
I asked it to product an excel report however and it stuck at 100% CPU for an hour and managed to use 2gb of ram before I stopped the process.
It may be time to run a smaller report ![]()

Network Inventory Tool
16/01/2007 by Paul.
This script helps capture network information for those documenting their networks.
I have run it on a couple of networks and the detail is useful however it reports into a long text document, which would be time consuming to import into our sharepoint.
If I can I may look to modify the script to output the required details to a CSV file.
